This is a shot of the Double Cluster in Perseus.  I really expected more star colors than this.
Omega Centauri  -  NGC 5139 -  The BIG globular!!!  This was only 11 degrees above the horizon when I shot it.  I normally never shoot anything under about 35 degrees due to associated problems (bad seeing, color distortion, etc.).  Taken from TSP 2004 in Ft. Davis with the FCT-150 @ F/5.  RGB = (20:20:20) minutes. 5/22/2004  CLICK HERE for a full size version.
M-13 -  This is my first real attempt at color on a globular cluster.  Note the little edge on galaxy at the 9:00 o'clock position.  Taken from TSP 2004 in Ft. Davis with the FCT-150 @ F/5.  LRGB = (24:10:10:10) minutes. 5/16/2004
M-3  -  Another nice globular in Canes Venatici.  Notice the nice little galaxy in the upper left.  Taken from TSP 2004 in Ft. Davis with the FCT-150 @ F/5.  RGB = (10:10:10) minutes. 5/21/2004
M-11  -  This is the Wild Duck Cluster in Scutum.  Notice the dark rivers of dust running across the field of view.  I like the colors and the yellow foreground stars on the cluster as well as the dense Milky Way stars and their range of colors....  This is a very nice object in my refractor.  Taken from TSP 2004 in Ft. Davis with the FCT-150 @ F/5.  LRGB = (4:3:3:3) minutes. 5/19/2004
Here is a shot of the interesting star V838 that is in the process of illuminating it's shed gasses.  Hubble recently shot this star to see what was going on.  Lum = 3 X 10 minutes.  Calibrated and stretched only.
Here is M-46 in all it's glory.  It is a nice open cluster in Puppis (near Canis Major) that just happens to have a pretty little planetary nebula in it.  Note the gold stars mixed in with the mostly blue population.  Taken on 12/30/02 in Ft. Davis with the FCT-150 @ F/7.  The PN is visible in small scopes.
This is the new Nova in Sagittarius.  This shot is 6 one minute shots stacked for easy visual recognition of the area.  9/26/2002 at 9pm from my house with the FCT-150 at F/7 with my ST-10XME.
This is the same Nova but shot with 5 five second shot in Blue to keep it from saturating my CCD chip so I could measure the Magnitude.  I measured the magnitude of the Nova at 7.2
I just had to do a color shot of M-13 while I was waiting for another object on my list to come up.  Taken with the FCT-150 @ F/7 on Sept 5, 2002 in Ft. Davis.
This is Comet C/2000 WM1 (Linear) passing just South (to the left) of the globular cluster M-13.  It was taken on 6-17-02 at 10pm at the request of Don Pearce (our comet guru).  Taken with my FCT150 @ F/7 with the ST-8E.  Image was sum of 10 2 minute images.  The comet is half way between M-13 and the left side of the image.  It is very faint with a very tiny tail.
The "Stargate".  I like this asterism for star parties.  You tell all of the kids that this is where the aliens come through to our galaxy.  It is next to M-104.  Shot at TSP.
(For Leslie's talk) This is the globular cluster M3 taken from my house on April 18th 2002 on a very cloudy night with my FCT-150 @ F/7.
ET-NGC457.jpg (40590 bytes) This is the ET Cluster (NGC-457).  Look for the eyes, feet, hands, and glowing finger.  This is a star party item that kids love.   It is in Cassiopeia.  Taken on Oct. 30th from my house.
Alberio-RGB.jpg (5163 bytes) This is Alberio.  It is a Blue / Gold double star in Cyngus.  It's colors show beautifully in most scopes.  RGB = .2:.2:.2 seconds.
Double-Cluster-RGB.jpg (80283 bytes) The Double Cluster in Perseus - NGC 869, FCT-150, F/7, (RGB = 5:5:5 minutes) shot from my house 12-5-2000 under the first quarter moon
M45RGB.jpg (70692 bytes) M 45 Pleiades, FSQ-106, F/5, RGB = 40:40:40sec - from my house - Nov 6, 2000  ***  See Photo of this below
This is a single 5 minute shot of M-46 with the neat little planetary nebula in it.  I'll get color later.
