Where Cliff Walk ends on our side of the
property, we drop down to the bottom of the cliff wall for our next trail. |
It is a lot of work to clear the brush
and make nice trails and sitting areas. The tractor (Thor) and chipper
(Linda) sure make it a lot easier. |
We are just beginning to expose these
HUGE rocks that have fallen off of the cliff wall. They have plants
growing out of the top of them and have trails between them that are really
cool. |
Some things are just manual labor... |
At the end of the day when working on
a new trail, it is custom to take a 'Wine Walk' to savor the progress made.
We also have to do it again first thing in the morning with a 'Coffee Walk'. |
Here is a group just coming down to the
left side of Wall Walk for the first time. |
The wall is full of really cool feature
that must be explored. |
There are lots of really deep holes in
the wall. |
Some have surprises. |
You never know what you may find poking
around on the wall. |
Prehistoric life is still here. |
Once you see them... |
You have to look everywhere as to not
miss anything. |
We still have work to do at the big rocks
as this will be a really nice area for some park benches. It is very
cool down there under the trees. Notice the variety of plants and
trees growing out of the top of the rocks. |
This is the view up the wall from the big
rocks. It is the back side of the 'Promenade'. |
This is the way back up to the Cliff Walk
on the right side. Notice the big rock that broke off. It is
about 4' thick, 15' wide, and 20' long. I'd hate to have been under it
when it broke off... |
Back up to Cliff Walk. |
