The Cone Nebula & Christmas Tree Cluster |
| About this Object: | |
| This is the Christmas Tree Cluster or Cone Nebula depending on who you ask. It is located in Monoceros between Orion and Gemini. This is a popular nebula to image around Christmas for obvious reasons. Notice the Wolf in the upper center of the image. He is in the head down position just above the bright star in the center. You can make out his whole body from his head to his tail if you look closely (and use your imagination...). CLICK HERE if you can't see him. This piece of the area is called the Fox Fur Nebula. | |
