The Horsehead Nebula |
| About this Object: | |
| This is the famous Horsehead Nebula near the Orion Nebula in the constellation Orion. The dark horsehead is actually very fine dust cloud almost like a soot that just happens to be in front of a bright red hydrogen nebula. The horsehead is actually changing shape as we speak and in a few thousand years will not resemble the shape that we enjoy today. | |
