The Owl - Planetary Nebula


   
About this Object:
This is the Owl planetary nebula located in Ursa Major more commonly known as the Big Dipper.  It is supposed to resemble an owl's face.  This  planetary nebula is right next to M-97.

Optics 14.5" RCOS at F/6
Mount Takahashi EM-500
Camera SBIG ST-10XME
Filters Don Goldman LRGB Filters
Date June 3rd, 2008 during TSP
Location Ft. Davis, Texas
Exposure LRGB = 60:20:20:20 minutes
   
Comments:  
Re-shot because of poor conditions the first time I shot it.  This one is much better.
